Also agree with others .. Zack thing totally undeveloped and WRONG ... should have taken longer with arc ... and BEEN SWEETS!

Well, the season finale sucked. That's my opinion. Why? First, the Booth not being dead thing was predictable as well as idiotic. I didn't believe it for a minute. They used the guy he attacked at the funeral as a plot device to get him back. A horrible, unexplained plot device.
Second, the stuff in the middle-I don't even remember it well. All I remember is Brennan not being mad at Sweets for not telling her Booth's dead, even though he was supposed to, but being mad at Booth, even though he was bound by law not to tell her. What the heck?
Third. Zach. Gormagon. FAIL. They did not in any way have to finish the arc this season. I would have rather we done a gravedigger episode. He's much cooler.
Well, overall, it just bombed. Totally. In light of that, I would like to recommend Pushing Daisies as a much better romance show. =)

Zack was te best thing about Bones. Now that he's no longer a regular I'm no longer a die-hard fan.I'll keep watching the show, but it won't be as great.
Heather, not everyone is mad about Zach. The season finale was just a jumping off point for frustrated fans. Season 3, as a whole, pretty much jumped the shark with forcing the B/B non-relationship down our throats and pushing the rest of the cast to the background. That, and the fanfic-inspired storylines.
Then, if we didn't think it could any worse...it did. Making Zach the apprentice was ridiculous. The writers didn't give us any lead up, because they were too busy contriving stupid storylines to make the B/B fangirls squee, when they should have taken the time to build up the Gormagon arc and character development for the WHOLE cast. Are you a hardcore B/B shipper? If you are, that's probably why you didn't think the show hasn't jumped the shark and you see nothing wrong with the show.
I was a fan of season 1 and half of season 2. I still gave it a chance, though. Why? David Boreanaz. He is why I stuck around. When season 3 came around, I just couldn't continue to watch this, once good show, drown. Not even for the sake of David. Bones went from a drama with an awesome comedic twist, to a romantic comedy. Boooooooooooo.

I don't understand what people want from the writers of this show. First of all I hear people saying it is too like this show or that show and in the next breath someone they are made because of what happened with Zack. This show has not jumped the shark. Noone of us fans liked the whole Zack thing. It was devestating to see who we thought of as innocent, perfect turn into a murderer. It for me made the show more real. In life, people will not be who they seem and will break our hearts. This is life. People break up, die and dissapoint us. I can't wait for Season 4.
This show jumped the shark with that horrible Zach is a killer storyline. Literally, the dumbest 'genius' out there. Rationalization is all they could come up with as to WHY he'd do it? LAME.
Bone's naive "Im such a hard worker, i don't understand ANYTHING simple" is also getting old.
Unfortunately what could be a good series is turing quickly into a cliche.
Oooooooh...sexual tension... blah. We get it...they like each other... still following the old formula of every old man/woman partner show (ala lois and clark...) where eventually they will end up in the sack and kill the

I used to enjoy watching Bones reruns in order to pick up little details I'd missed the first time around.
Now that I know that Zach's character has been spoiled, the reruns are spoiled too.
A risk that should not have been taken.

And about Booth and Bones: I am so sick of the obligatory male-female partner sexual/romantic tension. I used to think this show would thankfully not be one of those that teases its viewers for the whole run of the show. I don't even think they'd make a good couple. But they make great partners. When they're not fretting over their "relationship."
I agree so much, Laurie. B/B make great working partners. As for a lasting relationship as a couple? Hell no. It would never work. Opposites can attract, but they are way too different.
It's getting ridiculous. It's a shame. This show had something in the beginning, until they started to base the WHOLE show on their childish relationship that isn't. It's really pathetic that they only have this relationship that may bever be, supposedly going for it. They are constantly using that tired ass bait and switch trick. Um, it's getting played out. I can't believe the fangirls still fall for this crap.
Poor Zack. But, we have to look at it this way. I'm not sure if anyone has said it, but we should be happy that Eric is not on this terrible show, anymore. At least he got out before it crumbled to the ground. The terrible 3rd season, mixed with the badly written season finale, and add the Friday night time slot in January 2009. I predict that the 4th season will be it's last.

This show has been really popular, right? Remember to look for phony things like clean kitchens or guys who wear shirts to sleep....

The series finale with Zach's exit was ill-conceived and short on the logic the show is known for. Series creator Hart Hanson said "We had gone pretty much as far as we could with that character," which is silly. Zach was an open book, the most unfinished character of them all. I think the change will hurt, not help, this show.
I'm done with this, and several other shows, following the idiotic "season finales" this year. Bones used to be a pretty good mix, but since it's basically become a comedy, things were getting stupid, and then the Zack thing really put it over the top. Good luck, Bones, you're continuing without this viewer.
Zach was supposed to have killed that last victim? Yeah, but... He was not the person shown in a previous episode to have attacked the last victim. And that alone was what killed the show for me.
Producers wanting to "shake things up"? Writers' strike shortening the season? Whatever. Once you destroy the internal logic of a show and contradict something already established as a fact in that show's world, it's over.
I'm not interested in watching it become "Moonlighting 2: The Revenge".
