So, 'Carol in Florida,' you're pretty much admitting that all you care about this show is the superficial imagery of it. That's a very telling statement about the typical viewer for CSI: Miami -- a superficial drone who just wants eye candy. You have no concern about substance -- who cares about that?

This is a sad, sad reality check -- just a reminder of who or what the majority of TV viewers are. It's not only sad, but very scary as well. It speaks volumes about the intellectual and artistic state of our country.
Sorry, this show has never jumped for me. I don't care about the so-called bad acting, etc., it's the visual content show that keeps me watching. The beauty is in the clips of Miami, the beach, etc. The soundtrack, the colors and the visual is fantastic. I get the same feeling from Nip/Tuck and if you watch a few old Miami Vice episodes, you get the same flavor/feeling. Sorry, never jumped, never will!
The people who write for this show, direct for this show, and "act" for this show are all guilty of entertainment malpractice as far as I'm concerned.

The thing that just sticks in your throat about the CSI franchise is that there's always a convenient trail of crumbs that leads to the perp. Why don't we see more cases where there might not be a resolution? Might make it more interesting.

The CSI shows are like cartoons for adults. Kind of like Tom & Jerry or Coyote/Roadrunner, but not quite as intelligent or original.
The acting doesn't get much worse than on this show. Wooden wooden wooden. The horrible writing doesn't help, either -- probably the worst writing on any network.
While I've enjoyed Khandi Alexander in other parts on other shows, I really disliked her on here... her acting, that is. Maybe it's a matter of extremely bad directing? It seems that everyone on the show overacts and is just awful.

Caruso is just plain bad -- not just on CSI: Miami but in any part he has ever played. This is the only part I've seen Rodriguez in, so I can't speak to his ability outside of this show, but he's not good in this part. As I noted, I've seen Alexander do much better work in other parts. I'm not sure there is any actor on CSI: Miami that puts in a good performance. An entire cast that sucks this horribly indicates to me that it's more likely a directing problem than anything else. These people must be making a ton of money for them to sacrifice their respect in this way.
I think it's Adam Rodriguez and David Caruso that cannot ACT at all. Eric Delko should ahve been killed by that bullet to the head-please, get this guy outta here.Horatio is just plain bad. Khandi Alexander (Alexx) did not stand a chance on that show. She was smart to move on FINALLY!
Webster's New American Dictionary:

overactor \ˌō-vər-ˈakt-or\
noun

1 : one who acts more than is necessary
2 : David Caruso
I disagree about David Caruso. He is simply a BAD actor. He was BAD on NYPD Blue, he was BAD on the big screen, and he is BAD on here. He just can't act.

This show is unbelievable to the extreme. One of the marks of a good drama is whether it can get the viewer to suspend disbelief and accept the events as real (within the framework of the show). All of the CSI's are unable to accomplish that... but CSI Miami is the worst offender. It just makes me cringe to watch it -- it's nauseating.
For all the "H" haters--he is only acting the way that the directors want him to. The script calls for him to stand on an angle, hands on his hips & then slowly taking off his sunglasses then guess what he does? He stands on an angle, has his hands on hips and then he slowly removes his sunglasses. They do, however, need to get rid of Eva LaRue. Her role is totally useless, unless her being a slut is her main purpose. How many more people can she sleep with??
This show is supposedly about a county agency, and this county has the budget for all the high-tech equipment and glitzy buildings used on the show? Give me a break. The taxpayers in my county would have a melt-down if the government spent money for the kind of stuff the CSI's on this show have.

The real-life cops that I know just laugh at the idea of having the kinds of sci-fi equipment found in the labs on the show. They aren't laughing from a dislike of technology or from jealousy, but rather because they realize that no actual county or local law enforcement agency has a budget anywhere big enough to afford that type of junk. They have to make due with a lot more basic, "down-to-earth" stuff and rely a lot more on their own deductive reasoning and skills rather than a room full of high-tech equipment.

This show jumped right out of the water before it even got to the shark -- its cousins (the original CSI and CSI:NY) are somewhat better, but still way too reliant on technology.
this show is utterly ridiculous. the colors. lighting, acting, situations...all RIDICULOUS. its' unwatchable for more than 30 seconds. always has been.
Caruso should just get it over with and, when he has gotten all the goods on the elusive bad guy, turn to his faithful sidekick and grimly say "Book him, Danno".
cannot watch this crap. it isnt horatio that ruins it for me it's calleighs hair.....cant she wash it? and her face-full-of-botox look is not good...she is painful to watch
You are wrong this not a crime show at all the wire is better crime show
To Dawn: Maybe you should be one of the victims the CSI's investigate. Hmmm... lol.

To Nina: I'm right there with ya!! Its stupid for people to sit and criticize a show they don't like, just change the channel and stop complaining, people :)
